Kingston 2025 Reading Challenge
Friday 11th July - Friday 12th September
The Kingston 2025 Reading Challenge is here! This year rather than following the national reading challenge, we have created our own in conjunction with Kingston Heritage and Kingston 2025. The Challenge celebrates all things Kingston which has been inspired by the crowning of King Athelstan 1,100 years ago.
Whether you’ve done it before or are brand new to it, the Kingston 2025 Reading Challenge is the perfect way to encourage children to get reading over the summer holidays.
It is open to all children aged 4+ and it runs from the 11th July to 12th September
To take part, all you need to do is:
1) Register using this form: Kingston 2025 Reading Challenge (if you are not a library member you can sign up for free here)
2) Pop into your local library and borrow six books
3) Every time you return a book you will collect a stamp and riddle to solve. After three books, you can earn one of the Library badge keyrings; and on completion of the challenge you can earn yourself a certificate and an extra special prize. By solving all the riddles, you will also have the oppertunity to enter into a prize draw!
