Community Library Home Service

The Royal Borough of Kingston has a Community Library Service which delivers books (large and ordinary print) and audiobooks on CD’s to people who are having difficulty getting to the library.

It may be because residents are housebound, have mobility issues, a visual impairment, are living with dementia or are a carer for someone. We know that carers find it difficult to have the time to get to the library.

If you have had some time in hospital and can’t get to the library do contact us too. You can be a temporary member whilst you recuperate and recover.

The Community Library Home Service talks to you and delivers on a monthly basis. We have volunteers who may deliver to you too and they are all DBS checked.

As well as books the Community Library Home Service has developed a Reminiscence Collection which is available to members.

We  also deliver to Care Homes, Nursing Homes, Sheltered Housing and Dementia Inclusive Groups in the borough. Anybody can refer to the Community Library Home Service
